Job Description

Nightlife Security Officers are responsible for safeguarding company property, maintaining the safety and compliance of guests and employees, providing crowd control, and diffusing potentially hostile situations while providing superior guest service consistent with Forbes 5 Star Service Rating. All duties and assignments are to be performed according to departmental and Wynn company policy and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage large crowds in a nightlife environment.
• Responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures in their area of responsibility to ensure a safe environment for all guests and employees.
• Standing post to monitor and observe persons and activities on property or nightlife venues to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Wynn policies.
• Minimize opportunities for loss or damage, anticipating potential problems, responding to incidents and prohibited conduct.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Be observant of possible criminal activities, advising management and/or local law enforcement.
• Work and communicate clearly with staff in multiple departments and/or agencies.
• Troubleshoot potential problems, seeking resolution discreetly and professionally.
• Flexibility to perform other job-related tasks as deemed necessary by management.
• Adhere to and enforce company-specific safety policies.
• Safeguard company property.
• Report incidents to management and attempt to de-escalate incidents involving threats or acts of violence against either guests or employees.
• Enforce health and safety guidelines in accordance with local and state mandates, as well as Wynn guidelines.
• Restrict access to areas prohibited to guests.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English with guests and co-workers.
• Must consistently maintain a well-groomed appearance and hygiene as deemed by management.
• Willing to work in a loud and smoke-filled environment.
• Possession of /or ability to possess a valid Gaming, Alcohol Awareness and CPR cards.
• Pass annual hearing test.
• Must be 21 years of age or over.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Must be available to work all shifts; to include Day, Swing and Grave shift.
• Minimum three years in the hotel/casino/nightclub industry preferred, but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic gaming regulations is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position always.
